Handmade Oil Painting of National Geographic Famous Photo of Afghan Girl “Sharbat Gula” on Canvas

I just want to give some introduction to this painting and about myself. I was always interested in Canvas Painting, but never got the time to do it. But during Covid time in the year 2021, I decided to learn oil painting and this was my first painting on the Canvas. I tried to capture every possible detail from the photograph which was taken by Photographer Steve Mccurry and this photo was published as a Cover Photo on the National Geographic Magazine. What I found interesting about the photo was the background colour behind the girl and the beautiful green colour of her eyes, with red cloth on her. She looks confused, scared not sure what is going to happen next in their life.

This photo stays in my memory and when I decided to draw something on the canvas this was the first thing which comes to my mind. I hope you like the painting.
